This dressing is so good! It only has a few ingredients and it’s uber versatile. You can use it for any preparations you want. Wouldn’t be amazing with a pasta salad or a quinoa salad? Perfection!

Gardein Plant-based Chick’n Tenders

Gardein’s crispy tenders are an excellent option for those who miss the taste or the convenience of chicken but have adopted a plant-based lifestyle. You’ll be so surprised at how similar the flavor is! And you know what? These are a great way to trick your omnivore friends! Invite them over for lunch, serve them the “chicken” tender salad, and they might not even tell the difference.

  • 1 package of Gardein Seven Grain Frozen Crispy Tenders
  • 1 Tbsp. of soy sauce
  • 1 Tbsp of sesame oil
  • 2 Tbsp of brown sugar
  • 1/8 cup olive oil
  • 1/4 cup rice vinegar
  • 1 bunch of romaine lettuce, chopped
  • A handful of cilantro, finely chopped
  • 1 carrot, grated (with a cheese grater)
  • 1/4 cup of green onions, finely chopped
  • 2 mandarin oranges, peeled and pulled in slices (optional)
  • 1 package of instant ramen


Step 1

Bake the Gardein Crispy Tenders based on the package directions

Step 2

In a medium bowl, mix together 1 tbsp. soy sauce, 1 tbsp. sesame oil, 2 tbsp. brown sugar, 1/8 cup olive oil, and ¼ cup rice vinegar. Set aside.

Step 3

In a large bowl, combine the romaine lettuce, cilantro, carrot, green onion, and mandarin oranges (if using).

Step 4

Crunch the unopened instant ramen packet. Make sure it’s broken in small pieces. Remove the seasoning packet and pour half of the crunchy broken up noodles in the salad bowl.

Step 5

Toss the salad and serve it in individual bowls with dressing and chopped Gardein Crispy Tenders.
